Q: How do I take a screen cap of my Customizer creation?
- A: Note: These instructions apply to machines running Windows. (click images to enlarge them)
1.) Once you have created your MK1 vision to your satisfaction, make a copy of the entire
screen as it appears on your monitor, by pressing the PRINT SCREEN key, located near the SCROLL LOCK key. (see image below.)
2.) Open up MS Paint by clicking "Start" "Programs" "Accessories" "Paint" (Any graphics editor will work.)
3.) Once the program has opened, paste the screen shot into Microsoft Paint
by clicking "Edit" "Paste."
4.) Once the picture loads, crop out the unwanted parts.
5.) Once you've got the image cropped to where you want it, click "File" "Save As"
6.) When the dialogue box opens, click the down arrow to the right of the box labeled "Save As type"
and select "JPEG."
Voila! You're done!
Now get to posting your MK1 Vision on MK1Dubs.com forums already.
Q: How do I post a picture on the forums of my Customizer creation?
- A: First, you need to have a server or image host to store your images on the internet.
There are many free services such as Photobucket or
Flickr. Of course as a member of MK1Dubs, you can also
store your images in MK1Dubs gallery for free.
Once you have uploaded your MK1 Customizer image, you can post in the forums using the following snippets of code:
Forum code: [img]http://yourserver.com/yourMK1vision.jpg[/img]
HTML code: <img src="http://yourserver.com/yourMK1vision.jpg">
Most forums prohibit the use of HTML, but you can use either one on MK1Dubs forums.
